Wet Fly Hour: 5:00 pm
Dinner: 6:00 - 7:00 pm
Program: 7:00 to 8:00 pm
Menu: Chicken Parmesan - thinly pounded chicken breast crusted with an herb parmesan breading seared gold brown and topped with a mushroom-proscuitto cream. Served with au gratin potatoes and seasonal vegetables, along with house salad, rolls, dessert and your choice of coffee, tea or soft drink. The price is $18 per plate at the door (which includes tax and gratuity) payable at the door. If you chose to purchase a dinner online, a transaction fee will be included. Please reserve your dinner(s) using our NIFC Dinner Reservation Form.
Program Topic: Conservation
Bob Flagor from the Kootenai-Shoshone Soil and Water Conservation District will present our October program. His topic will be provide information on the Wolf Lodge Creek Reach Conservation Project. This project involves North Idaho Fly Casters, Kootenai-Shoshone Soil and Water Conservation District, Fly Fishers International and governmental agencies. This is one our club’s major conservation project for the 2019-2020 year.
Flagor comes with seventeen years working with water district and currently sits on their board. He brings to the program vast experience and knowledge in the areas of stream restoration. This latest project involved a Montana firm that brought in a team of engineers, hydrologists and planning agency personnel to evaluate the needs of Wolf Lodge Creek. Their assessments bore fruit and the proposed project was approved and funded.
Flagor will explain how all the nuts and bolts implementing the plan will work. And some of the expected results.
Additionally, Dan Scaife from the CDA Ranger district will present the second project. Scaife will provide information on what’s happening with the Honey Badger Timber Project.
